Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge

Today, I did two samples from the Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge. They are using the Always Thankful Stamp set from the 2012 Holiday Mini Catalog. So you get two samples and a sneak peak. The colors are Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede. I used water color paper and water colored both images. Enjoy!

Sketch Frenzy Friday! SFF081211 & CS43C

Well I've been gone a while, summer was busy, but we are back in school and I'm back to crafting away. Today I decided to do a project using two challenges. The first one was using this sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday and the Color Combination came from Cre ative Sketches Color Challenge. You can click on the titles to visit their sites. Ugliest Card Ever

I can't believe I'm posting this to my blog. I made this card tonight for someone at my church who is in the hospital. I'm sure she will think it's just lovely, the jury is still out with me. This is using some sneak peek products form the summer mini, as well as paper from the Four Frames promotion going on right now with Stampin' Up. I colored the stamped image with Stampin' Write Markers and then spritzed the image with water. It gives it a softer watercolor image on a solid stamp. Thanks for looking.

Challenge 100 Celebrate!

Well this challenge was #100 over on our Late Night Stampers group. I got the idea of course from Angie Juda here. My son has a birthday party to go today for a girl, ack! And of course I don't have any girly stamps, so this was the next best thing. I used a saleabration stamp set from last year. Paper is from saleabration as well. My best guess was that it was cajun craze so that is the ink I used to sponge everything. Hope you enjoy.

Covered Tissue Box

Ok, I have found my newest obession. Decorating Tissue Boxes, I can't wait to go to Walmart later and get some more tissues. I saw this tutorial on Split Coast Stampers, here. This ladies tutorial is fabulous. If you are using a Kleenex brand Tissue Box this will work perfectly. I used Friends 24/7 stamp set. I used Wild Wasabi as the layer, I colored the stamp with markers. The bird is done in basic grey, soft suede, wild wasabi, real red and more mustard. The flowers I also colored the stamp using, soft suede, wild wasabi, real red and I colored the flowers in with blush bride. Here are pictures of the two sides, the other sides match these. Another Teacher Gift on the Fly

I bought these tins from Stampin' Ups clearance rack a while back. They measure 5 1/2 x 4 3/4. I pondered what to do with them. So, I had made snowman soup with mugs for my sons' teacher's but I decided that wasn't really enough. So, today I put together 5 of these tins with gift tags. The inside of tin I made using cardstock. The middle insert measures 4 3/4 x 4 1/2, scored at 1 1/2, 2 1/4, and 3 inches. The two side ones measure 6 1/4 x 2 1/2, scored at 2 3/8, 3 1/8, and 2 3/8. Good thing my son just learned how to add and subtract fractions, so it was fresh in my mind when I had to use his math to help me. I was never good with fractions, especially the 8th ones. After scoring, fold mountain and valley. Place the large one in the middle, and the smaller ones on each side of the middle one. The dsp was cut at 2 1/2 x 2 3/8. I made the tags using the tags til' christmas stamp set. I don't have the ornament punch so, I had to use the movers and shakers die ornament to cut the tags, I stamped the image and spaced it over the die. The punch would have been much easier :) I just made the outside look like a present. I didnt' have a lot time to get really creative.

The idea came from Angie Juda, here is the link to her post. My Chic n Scratch Classroom Bonus Project. Her tin is a little smaller and her measurements are different. But same tags.

Snowman Soup

I made these for my son's teachers. Can't beat the price at $2.50 each. I hope they enjoy them, our weather is definately cold enough.

Oh my, products used. Bashful blue cardstock, some DCWV pattern paper, some cheap $1.00 stamps, SU label punch, and baja breeze stripped retired ribbon. The pillow box and bags were from a bulk buy my upline Monika Davis did, I'm not sure what company she got them from.

I also did a male version for his math teacher, it's still using the same blues but the outside is old olive and I used the holly jolly DSP. Hope you enjoy.

Several people have asked about the poem.... I tried to photograph it but it came out blury, so here it is:

One day I met a snowman

He said "Frosty" was his name.

Who told me his secret recipe,

For "Snowman Soup" he claimed.

So open up the soup packet

Just pour it in your cup,

Add hot water to the mix

Take the cane and stir it up.

Add some Snowman Kisses

A few snowballs for fun

It's sure to warm your spirits

When your winter day is done.

I got this off the internet, but I searched so many before I found one just right, so i'm not sure who to give credit to. The "Snowman Kisses" are hershey kisses. The "Freeze dried snowballs" are mini marshmellows. The "Stir Stick" is a candy cane. The "Snowman Soup" is just any kind of packet hot chocolate. I used giradelli.

Challenge Card, White, Blue and Silver

I'm usually a red and green kind of girl for Christmas. I don't usually step outside the box this week on our Late Night Stampers email group Mary Jo challenged us to use blue, white and silver. I actually like how this card came out. I used brushed siver SU cardstock as the base, night of navy cardstock and whisper white craft ink with white embossing powder. The silver cord is from last years mini catalog (I sure hope they bring it back next year, I'm almost out and I love for my Christmas tags. Last week Mary Jo challenged us to use, anything but red and green. Below is my card for that challenge. So whichever of my friends get these two cards, I'm sure they are going to think I've lost my mind. I hope you enjoy.

For this card I used a light pink, not sure of the name, lovely lilac and bashful blue. I used heat and stick and dazzling diamonds on the snowflake. Not sure I like this one.

I'm having a lot of fun with these. Now I have 5 made, some I made at my uplines class and these are mine. I love the way they turned out. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them. The wreath is made from the itty bitty set using the flower and punching it out with the mini flower punch. The tree is from lovely as a tree, stamped with merry from the tiny tags set. The bird is from the bitty stamp set as well. I also used crystal effects and red glitter to make the berries.

Challenge 98 - Non Traditional Christmas card

The jury is still out on this card. I'm not a very non-traditional Christmas card person, but I figured I'd step outside my comfort zone and try something different.

I used Crumb Cake Cardstock for the base, I cut the snowflake out of my cricut. I used heat and stick powder with versamark and dazzling diamonds. I used the rhinestones on the tips of the snowflakes. As for cardstock I think the purple is Lovely Lilac, pink pirroette, and the old baby boy blue. I used scraps on all of it, so the colors are guesses. I sponged the pink with rich razzleberry, and the blue with not quite navy and the crumb cake cardstock with Early Expresso. Sure used a lot of stuff on just one card. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment, maybe you'll help change my mind to send this card out to a friend.

Zippy Zac is in the house.

Our Elf on a Shelf, Zippy Zac made his appearance tonight. He keeps my son in check through the holiday season, he seems to turn into a deamon during the Holidays at school. So Zippy Zac does the trick. He always stops into my craft room (just like Santa) to make his card for my son. This year he even used my brand new Cricut Cartridge, which I haven't even used yet, I just got it yesterday. He only uses supplies that are left on my desk. This year he had a lot to choose from, and oh my I think he used every piece of DSP that was on my table. Looks like it threw up color. My son, says... "Boy he sure is creative". Inside he told him he needed to read two more books for his challenge at school, and he would bring him a special present. (So a little bribery here). He also told him he needed to buy me a new white gel pen for Christmas. Mine seems to be skipping a lot lately :)

Christmas Ornament and box

My friend last year made these painted ornaments. My son really wanted to do it on his own, she's a little OCD and would always touch them up. It made him so mad, so this year we bought everything to make them, he's having a ball a doing a good job, (no touch ups from this mom). He did ask me if I could make one of my "pretty" bows to put on it to hang on the tree. So, he's giving this to pop pop and grandma for Christmas. I threw together this box tonight in about 20 minutes to put it in. Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving! I will be traveling tomorrow, so I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

The Rubber Redneck had a color challenge using Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry. I always have a hard time with challenges, I never know if it ok to use another color. So I couldn't color in my pumpkin (pumpkin pie would have been my choice). So I used the spotlight technique to stay within the guidelines. This stamp set is very old - Turkey Talk (retired in 2004), but hey do Thanksgiving stamps ever retire? Ok, I used rich razzleberry for the base, old olive for the layer, cajun craze for the top layer. I stamped and colored the leaves with the same colors. Did the inlay embossing techique. I used a blender pen to color with ink from ink pads. Sponged the edges of the circle and the scallop. The rectangle is the new retangle sizzlet. I made this card to give to my parents for Thanksgiving.

Fork Bows

Ok, i'd heard of this technique. So I search utube this morning, and found several videos. Then my search in the house for the perfect forks. I found two. One for small bows and one for a little larger bows. Here are my tags (no decorated yet) because Santa hyjacks my craft supplies and makes the tags on Christmas Eve (that's what son thinks anyway). Zippy Zac our Elf on a Shelf makes his own card too, when he comes on Thanksgiving Morning. Good thing Santa and Zippy are crafty ones.

Family Reunion Invites

My friend Brenda needed invitations for her family reunion. We've had a hard time getting together to make them, she really wanted to help, but time and things got in the way. So on Friday she baked me a delicious pound cake, (I think she was trying to bribe me to just make them), it worked. I cranked these out Friday night, of course I was high on sugar and fat.

I used So Saffron cardstock for the base, I used a 2 1/8 piece of DSP from the play date line, and a 3/4 inch piece of the same DSP to make the strip. I ran it through the big shot. I used embroidery floss for the wrap around bow. I used a 3/4 inch piece of brown from the DSP pack to make the scallop border with the scallop border punch. The let's get together stamp is a clear stamps set because I didn't have a stampin up set with that saying on it. I used a hostess set from last year SAB (I think) for the houses. I hope you enjoy.

I was scratching my head all day yesterday wanting to make a bat for some treat boxes I'm making for my son's pumpkin carving party. Finally, I went to split coast stampers and found a bat I thought would work. This is what I came up with.

Head - 1 1/8 circle punch

Wings - scallop oval punch and wide oval punch

Body - large oval punch (re-inserted to make smaller and trimmed slightly)

Feet - modern label punch

Nose - small heart punch (cut off tip

Eyes - 1/2 inch circle punch and larch punch from crop a dile.

Ears - 5 petal flower punch.

Pumpkin - small oval punch

CM - leaf punch

hand cut stem

All punches from Stampin Up. I used Basic black cardstock and sponged with whisper white craft ink.

Santa box

I know it's been forever.

Sandy Hancock, took the time to post the instructions for this cute little box. So, to make sure she knew someone used it, I went right downstairs and whipped one up. I had to alter it a tad, her instructions and this what I altered. The best thing about Stampin' Up is you can always find a punch or something to alter any instructions with. Send me an email if you would like to order any of these products. Everything else I used can be found in here post here.

Changes I made: His eyes use the large crop-a-dile punch (item number 108362) , his mustache is the heart to heart punch, I punched the fat heart, put the punch back in and punched again (item number, 119881). His nose is the 1/2 inch circle punch (item number 119869). I also didn't have the square punches she used, so I used the large square punch, I punched a square and put it back in the punch on the corner and made a 3/4 inch square. I did the same thing for the 1/2 inch square insert in the middle.

VC Rocks First Annual Blog Hop

Welcome to Lisa's Crafty Place. You have arrived here from Stamping Fun with Kim but if not, you can start at the very beginning by going here - VC Rocks Blog.

For this first blog hop, I decided to share with you all the tile coasters I made last week along with a tutorial. These have been pretty popular so this probably isn't the first time you have seen these. When I first saw these, I knew that I had to make tons, to share with son's teacher's this year. He is leaving his elementary school this year and moving on to Intermediate school. I can not believe I have a rising 5th Grader. I did this with my club girls and they all loved them. They are pretty easy to make. So here are the materials you will need.

Materials:
Stamp Sets: Your choice I used the Elements of Style from the Summer mini
Ink: Craft Stampin' Spots in a variety of colors, your choice. I used summer sun, lovely lilac, and melon mambo.
Accessories: Tile coasters from Home Improvement Store, Craft Ink, Blender Pens, Stazon Ink, Parchment Paper, Spatula, Kitchen towel and Baking sheet.

Directions:

1. Wash tiles 24 hours before use.

2. Stamp image with Stazon ink on coaster. Let stand for about 10 minutes.

3. Using a stamp block as a palet, stamp craft ink colors you would like to use on the block. I can get about 6 colors on a Stampin’ Up! “E” Block.

4. Using a blender pen, color your image. The colors will be very bright at first (this is ok), when they are baked in the oven the color will dim.

5. Bake in oven on parchment paper, for 6-10 minutes. They are very hot when you remove them from the oven. Using a spatula remove the tiles from the baking sheet, and place on a kitchen towel. Let cool about 30 minutes.

Gift Box:

1. Cut 8 x 11 or 12 x 12 piece of card stock to 8 ½ x 8 ½, color of your choice.

2. Score at 2 ¼ on all sides.

3. Trim 2 sides up to score line.

4. Put box together using sticky strip or mono glue to put box together.

5. I use decorated chip board in the bottom of the box for stability, I cut this at 3 15/16 x 3 15/16. (I use the paper that comes in the 12x12 DSP). I decorated it using a glue stick and DSP.

6. Wrap with Ribbon and add a tag and you have a great Teacher Gift or Christmas Gift

Club Projects - Teacher Gifts

Last night I had my Stampin' Up! Club meeting. We made some teacher's gifts.

My upline Monika had a class making Tile Coasters, I was unable to attend, but she posted her instructions here. Here is my take on her project. She used embossing powder and craft ink.

Then of course I like color. So I researched on line and found Kristine's website, where she used a different technique, you can find that here. Both are stunning and the girls had a blast.

Then I wanted to make their Mother's Day special by giving them flowers, so we made this cute basket which will be perfect for an end of the year teacher gift. I got this idea from Stamp TV. Click here for part 1. Click here for part 2. I hope you enjoy.

Presto Papers

I love this new paper. I made this card for one of my son's friends for his birthday. I hope you enjoy.

I used this paper because to me it looked like a baseball backstop. Since we have to go to a birthday party tonight I figured I used this paper.

Products Used: So Saffron and Soft Suede Classic Ink, Close to Cocoa, Real Red, White Craft Ink, Clear embossing powder, rub-ons, birthday block stamp and just baseball stamp set.

I clear embossed the hat, ball and bat as well as the birthday block greeting. Then I used a brayer to color the background, used a paper towel to wipe off excess ink. I used Soft Suede classic ink to sponge the edges, this color screams dirt to me (I'm thinking I spend too much time at the baseball field).

Here are my end of the year teacher gifts. I have no idea which Stampin' Up DSP this is from. I used Tim Holtz buttons to make the magnet. They can hang this outside their classroom and move the button around as to where the class is. I hope you enjoy.

Card stock: Apricot Appeal, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive Designer Series Paper and water color paper.

Accessories: Old Olive Satin Ribbon

I used the Smooch spray to make the background shimmer. to make the shimmer on the background, Old Olive DSP and Old Olive Satin Ribbon. I love this stamp set and watercoloring and LOVE LOVE LOVE the Smooch Spray. I hope you enjoy.

Gift Card Holder

I used the new Travel Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up to make this gift card holder for one of my son's friends birthday party on Friday. I go the idea from Heather Summers, a Canadian Stampin' Up Demonstrator. She has online classes and this was one of the ideas from her last class. Using the Just Baseball stamp set came from Holly the Rubber Redneck , another great Stampin' Up Demonstrator. I hope you enjoy!

Retiring Cardstock meet new Sweet Scoop stamp set

My upline Monika asked if anyone would like make or share anything at our meeting tomorrow. This is what I came up with to do for a Make'n-take. I used Sweet Scoops stamp set (avail May 1, in Summer Mini Catalog). Summer sun, lovely lilac, and only orange, vanilla satin ribbon and kraft cardstock, the sprinkles I used heat and stick powder and dazzling diamonds. The pattern paper is from the kaleidescope paper pack. I hope you enjoy!

Easter Basket Share

I'm so excited about this Easter Basket. Amanda Coughlin, made the cutest little Easter Baskets out of the Stampin' Up Milk Carton die. I stalked her blog for 2 weeks hoping she would post how she made this awesome basket. Well today she did. Check out her blog, her work is amazing.www.stampvamps.com. Well here is my version of her basket. The decorations are little different, but the basket is the same. Thank you so much Amanda for sharing this on your blog, my son's teacher's are going to love them. I plan on putting grass and dove chocolates in them.

Progressive Card

In my workshops lately, I have been doing a lot of 3x3 cards. They are great for just a note, to put on a present or just send off as a thank-you. Well Heather over at Stamp with Heather has a challenge this week to take a 3x3 card and make it into a standard size card. I'm thinking, how awesome is this. I have (8) 3x3 cards from one workshop and (4) 3x3 cards from another workshop. I'm up for this challenge. She also has a sketch challenge out there this week. So, what do I think. Humm.... use the sketch and make a progressive card. Here is Heather's sketch and my progressive cards.

Today Heather over at Stamp with Heather posted her Sunday sketch. I love her sketches. Here is her sketch and here is my submission. I used the following Stampin Up Products.

Kraft Card Stock

I used the flowers and center piece from the Eggcellent Eggs Kit (it's not just to decorate eggs), Wings of Friendship Stamp set and I used versamark ink and the popping pastels technique on the bird. Buttons are one of the blues (not sure which, my upline gave them to me :) ), and pretty in pink satin ribbon (I love this ribbon) and the sentiment is a rub-on from Chit Chat.

Stamp with Heather - Challenge #3

This is such a great sketch. Stamp with Heather had this for her challenge last week. It ends in a couple of hours, so I'm down to the wire. I used (one of the pinks - pink passion, pretty in pink card stock), pretty in pink satin ribbon. The curly label punch, some rub-ons from my stash, twine, and some baubles I got in a swap. I used water color paper (I just got this in my last order) and watercolored the image with Magnificent Magenta, Orchard Opulence, and Summer Sun. I colored on a clear block with my markers and picked up the color with an aqua painter. I really love how this card turned out. For the sentiment I used rub-ons from Chit Chat. Hope you enjoy!

Ever have one of those oops moments. Well today was mine. My submission for Just Buggin' was due last night. I uploaded the photo, typed the post and forgot to submit it. So, I'm not sure when this will post over at Just Buggin' but here is my submission for your enjoyment.

This weeks challenge over at Just Buggin' was to using embossing on a Cricut cut. It's really hard to tell on my photo, but I embossed the cupcake paper with the dots folder from Stampin' Up. It's really much cuter in person.

Awesome Workshop Tutorial

Today I had a Stampin' Up Workshop with my girls in Alpharetta. It was an awesome workshop. Last week I came across a blog, www.StampingPro.com run by Chaiki Haverstick a Stampin' Up demonstrator. She offers free tutorials. Since I am a new demonstrator, it was a god send. So I used her tutorial to make these cards and box at my workshop today. Enjoy and thanks for looking.

I was also suppose to have another workshop this evening. This is the card I created for that workshop. It is rescheduled for next Tuesday, and we will still do this card. I cased the chick from Lynn Pratt's blog. You can view her creations here. Her eyes are bigger, I don't know what punch she used to make them. :(

This week our challenge is all about pets. Hop on over to Just Buggin' to join us this week.

This layout is a scrapbook page of Rop our cat, his expression in the first picture just says to me, hey where are my presents. I used Animal Kingdom, Celebrations, Stretch your Imagination, Christmas Cheer, and Alphalicious. I also used the Martha Stewart branch punch to punch out the branches I adhered to the tree. I used my new love Stampin' Up Crystal Effects to apply glitter to the gift pages and tree and the santa hat, with Stampin' Up's dazzling diamonds.

Today I came across a Stampin' Up demonstrators blog, Lynn Pratt. She had a template on her blog, you can check it out here. It was to use the template and decorate the box. Here is my take on decorating the box. You will see this box again, I'm going to use it for another challenge, but I have to come up with a new idea. If you win the challenge, you receive two of her kits free. There are only a few days left. I hope I win, I'd love to get two of her tutorials since I've just kicked up my business, it would make workshops a little easier with ideas.

With my new Stampin' Up Milk Carton die. I've been working for the last two hours on projects using it, and maybe I'm too critical, but I just don't like them. Please tell me what you think.

For this carton I used very vanilla cardstock, tea party designer paper, so saffron for the bunny and lovely lilac for the easter tag, and pretty in pink ribbon.
On this one I used Mello Mombo cardstock, real red satin ribbon, heart treat cups, love bandit and sweetheart stamp sets.
Lastly, I used the dsp from the free hostess set in SAB, I used the {I} heart hearts stamp set, and the SAB border punch, the scallop border punch and real red satin ribbon.

Good Morning from the snowy south. Oh my what day, school closed early (I forgot Robby's emergency plan was for me to pick him up), Business closings, and basically a shutdown of the entire city. So, I guess it's a good thing so I can get ready for the crop I'm going to on Saturday, that is if we thaw out by then. It's suppose to be 19 degrees tonight and just barely above freezing today.

Well, onto today's post for my Challenge #19 - Stampin Fun, over at JustBuggin'. This week we were challenged to stamp on a project, I had a blast, I made my own background paper for my February Calendar. I used designer calendar and a retired stampin' up stamp set.

I'm very excited for 2010 to begin. I have become a Stampin' Up demonstrator and so far it's going so well, since I decided to step it up. I have one club already formed and another workshop planned for February. It's been so easy, and once I started talking about it the workshops just started falling into place. Also, I will continue to have my weekly posts as a designer over at Just Buggin'. I will have more posts on Stampin' Up products, so watch for those a couple of times a week.

So, you will notice links to the new catalogs beginning January 5th on my sidebar. There has been a mishap with Stampin' Up mailing the new catalogs, so they have given us permission to post them a few days early.

This week over at Just Buggin' we needed to make something as Santa's Helper (make a gift for someone you love). Well Zippy Zac our Elf on a Shelf comes each year and steals some scrapbook supplies, either a card - something. Well this year he made a mess of scrapbooks room, using my Gypsy (the nerve of him), using my good card paper I just bought. He made himself a box and tag so he could write a note to Robby. I made this cute box and used die cuts from Joys of the season, the box is from tags, bags, boxes and more. My tip of the week: When putting ribbon on your projects glue a piece of cardstock under the ribbon and it will stand up and not wilt. Samantha over at Just Buggin has some great challenges. This is my first entry, I have my second one on my gypsy and will cut it out tonight. Here are the vampires I made with my gypsy. The idea came from Chic n Scratch, Angie Kennedy Stampin Up demonstrator. I didn't have all the punches, so again Iused my cricut to cut out all the circles and dracula hair is from PPDU. I made 40 of these for my son's class. Enjoy!

I saw this cute reindeer (it was a punch project on Angie Kennedy's stampin up website http://www.youtube.com/user/ChicnScratch?gl=CA&hl=en#p/a/D4C7EED9B39DB735/0/T7tk3_x3m40).

I didn't have several of the punches, put I really wanted to make one. I used george for the oval (cut at 2"), PPDU for the antlers (cut at 4"), Two 1/2 inch circles (cut from george), cropadile for the eyes, 1/4 inch circle cut (cut from george) and for the hair part, I used a flower from doodlecharms (cut at 1.48) and rotated and welded it to make it look like baha blossum punch, then cut it in 1/2 . My friend is sending reindeer food to the kids this year as surprise, and this is what I'm making for the cards. I used the gypsy for my placement and sizing.

Day 1: Biggest Loser Challenge

Well today is Day 1 of our Biggest Loser Challenge. We have 37 ladies in our challenge and it will last 10 weeks. At the end of the 10 weeks the winner will receive the grand prize. The last round was $450 dollars. I'm really working hard on my diet and exercise routine. My friend Brenda joined the challenge with me and tonight we just got done with a 1 1/2 mile walk/run. We walked part and ran part. I feel so refreshed and HOT! I did so well on my diet plan today, I am doing an 1100 calories a day and I still have enough left for my evening snack. I'm so pumped.

My weigh in weight today was ....... not telling.

Tribute to Mom

My mom passed away 5 years ago. I still miss her terribly. I've had this picture on my desk for atleast that many years. It is the last Mother's Day picture we took together. I really wanted to make a flower pot card, but didn't have anyone to give one to. So I cut it down a tad from Dawn's Video over at Dawn's Stampin Studio. I cut the demensions down to 2 1/2 x 7 and scored at 1" and 3" to make the flower pot. It's a hidden journaling box. I hope you enjoy.

Use something you haven't used before. I have had SU's heat and stick powder forever and I have never used it on anything. So today, I got it out and the glitter (ick) what a mess. The inside of the flower and leaf has heat and stick on it and then glitter and heat again. It sets it so the glitter won't come off. I hope you enjoy.

Robyn's Challenge #1

Robyn over at the http://www.thepinkstamper.blogspot.com/ had an awesome National Scrapbook day yesterday. She issued 10 Challenges. I'm still working on them :) But I had to share. My 8 year old Robby is following along with me and completing the challenges as well. His Pink and Brown creation came out awesome. It was hysterical, when I was trying to explain chalking to him on the leaves. Heck I gave up, but what he came up with and created was awesome. He ties better knots than me. We used one our new sizzix dies for the flower and our new spellbinders butterfly. And we did it through our new Expression Big Shot, that my dh purchased for me for Mother's Day. We also used our flowers we got as free gift from Archiver's. I hope you enjoy.

Calendar Pages

I've been working on my Calendar pages for the rest of the year. I've been going to a wonderful Stampin Up consultant, Monika Davis and she stamps all her scrapbook pages. I think, (to myself) oh that would take way too much time. But, it's actually so much fun. I've had a blast working on these pages, using stamps and punches. It's like I'm back in Kindergarten, coloring all the stamp images. I love how these have turned out, and I hope you enjoy looking at them. Oh, and my good friend Ashlee is no help either, she is now a Stampin up demo, so I split my orders between Monika and Ashlee. Ack....the money I'm spending.

Wonder what I've been up to?

It's been a long couple of months. This time of year is always so hard for me. My mom's birthday would have been this month, and last year on Easter my Aunt (her sister), went to the hospital on Easter Sunday. She passed two weeks later, which this year is two days before Easter.

But I have gotten myself together in order to make easter special for my family. I've finally gotten out of my funk and created a few Easter cards, a Birthday card for dear friend and an Anniversary Card for my Dad and Step mom.

Nilda over at Cricut Rookie Challenge Blog wanted us to make a card from any cartridge book we had. Here is the challenge:

For this weeks challenge I have decided to make it super easy for you. All you need to do is pick a cartridge and recreate the sample project on that cartridge.

For this challenge, I closed my eyes and picked a cartridge. Walk in the Garden was my choice. So here is my callenge post.
